A Hillside Sanctuary Embracing Connection and Comfort
Nestled on a scenic slope overlooking the majestic mountains of Kluang, Johor, the Twin Villa project redefines resort-style living by seamlessly blending luxury, nature, and familial connection. The villa is strategically located next to the client’s existing home, with the design thoughtfully planned to establish a physical and emotional link between the two residences, creating a harmonious extension of the client’s living space.
The design concept is based on the integration of two distinct zones: the private zone and the public zone. The private zone houses the bedrooms, study area, and workspaces, offering a tranquil sanctuary for the family. These spaces are designed to maximize comfort and privacy, allowing residents to retreat into their personal domains. With views oriented towards the surrounding landscape, the private zone ensures a peaceful and inspiring environment, perfect for rest, productivity, and reflection.
The public zone, on the other hand, embraces openness and community. It features a luxurious swimming pool, entertainment spaces, and expansive living and dining areas. These spaces are designed to foster togetherness, providing a warm and inviting setting for larger family gatherings, celebrations, and leisure. The seamless indoor-outdoor transition within this zone highlights the resort-living experience, with nature becoming an integral part of daily life.
Designing Connection and Flow
A key feature of the villa is the deliberate effort to create a connection between the new house and the client’s existing home. This connection serves both functional and symbolic purposes, bridging the two homes into a cohesive family compound while maintaining the individuality of each residence.
By embracing the slope of the site, the villa takes full advantage of its elevated position, offering breathtaking mountain views and an immersive experience with the natural surroundings. The split-zone layout not only enhances functionality but also creates a dynamic spatial flow that reflects the family’s lifestyle and aspirations.
