Between the Frames Exploring the Fluid Transitions and Narratives of Space
Translating Tradition into a Grand Exhibition Experience
The Door & Frame concept draws inspiration from the traditional Chinese character “門” (door), historically symbolising identity, status, and prestige — as in “以門户为腰带,” meaning a door reflects the homeowner’s standing. The client’s request for a 大气 (grand and dignified) presentation, combined with their premium door products, shaped the design from sketches to execution.
The bold, open-frame structure served as both an architectural statement and a metaphor for welcoming opportunity. Rhythmic frames, visible from multiple angles, drew visitors in, guiding them naturally through the space. The main honeycomb door — the latest flagship model — was highlighted with LED framing, while other series formed a curated backdrop.
This spatial composition encouraged smooth flow and meaningful interaction. Blending cultural heritage, functional planning, and strategic product placement, the booth became an immersive brand environment, reinforcing the client’s forward-thinking reputation and leaving a lasting impression on both buyers and visitors.
